Isn't that sad?
As I listened to that I was relieved that I was not just beginning my weight loss journey. Hearing that the majority of people will most likely quit in just under three weeks would not be very encouraging if I was just starting out, yet I'm sure most of us can agree that it's probably very true.
Thankfully, I know it's not always the case and I'd like to wish the best to all those beginning a new weight loss journey. I hope that they (or you, if you're there now) can find it within themselves to not quit this time and to prove to the world that the changes they are making in their health can last more than a mere eighteen days.
p.s. If you don't believe me, click on some of the "Followers" links to the right..they have some amazing stories to tell about their weight loss journeys. :)
I have stopped things so many times within that time period! It is sad, but so true :-(
ReplyDeleteI don't know how many times I didn't even make it to day 18, this time around was different, I was ready that was the difference.
ReplyDeleteI too hope that most of those people get through the 18 days and continue on because the rewards are priceless!
I know that 18 days was probably my max during my many, many weight loss attempts. That would be two weight watcher meetings and then I would quit. That sounds about right. How sad.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you are well past your 18 days and working hard to get where you deserve to be!
wow...18 days. It's good to know that number because I don't want to be that statistic. It'll be in the back of my mind when I don't feel like I'm in the mood to follow through.

---And I know...I'm blogging past 10 pm...but it's my birthday and I just watched "Julie and Julia" with dear hubby. Good night!
I think that's about right for a half-hearted effort. Many of which I have conducted over the years. But that was before BLOGGING! :)
