Beware the Gain

I just have to pop in here and say....if a person is going to allow himself/herself to overeat during the holidays he/she must beware of the gain and be ready to face it.

Oh my. Ahem, there is quite the gain showing on my scale today.

I'm not upset by it (no beating ourselves up, remember?) except for the fact that if I can't make it a smaller gain by Friday my Hot 100 Challenge is going to not have really good results in the weight loss area. oh darn.

In any case, I did exercise yesterday and I'm getting the eating back in order. Things will be fine eventually. :)

Have a great day!

  1. I bet you'll see that gain disappear pretty quickly - and what did you tell me about 2-3 lbs being okay at this time of year :) You're getting back on track and you are exercising so that is all that is important!

  2. Hi Leah,
Glad I found your blog! The gain is pretty common this time of the year. Even between Christmas and New Year's is a hard time, as it is usually rather unstructured. In some ways I miss the structure of a regular week, but I'm trying to enjoy this week, as well. I just posted about how precarious this (kind of limbo) week can be. Hang in there--I'll be back and following!

  3. I am confident that you will get right back into the swing of things! So you gained a few over the holidays. Look at the positives; You and your family are healthy, and you are able to get back in control and correct it :)

  4. You've got a great attitude and I have no doubt that you can lessen the gain by Friday. Way to get back on track with the exercise.
